A Princess Bed For Your Toddler
When your baby has grown out their cot it is in exciting and scary time, for both you and your child. When your child is around 18 months old they’re likely to be ready for a move to their “grown-up bed”. To help this potentially upsetting process, it’s a great idea to make the bed an exciting and personalized feature of their new grown up bedroom. Your little girl may love the idea of her own princess bed and there are plenty of princess beds for girls available in the shops and online. Here are some ways of getting the perfect princess bed for your perfect princess:
1. Ask your little one. By 18 months your little girl will have formed her first likes and dislikes so ask her specifically what color she’d like her new grown up bed to be and also what else she would like it to have (she may say lots of pillows or a nice fluffy blanket).
2. Pick the bed frame. Many stores sell specific toddler bed frames which are smaller than normal sized ones. Also you could pick a frame that’s nicely embellished or with a canopy attachment. Some beds come with headboards and of course, you’d want a pink one for your little princess. There are specific princess beds for girls on the market but it’s much more personal to design your own.
3. Pick your bedding. Your little one’s bedding needs to be soft, comfortable and warm. Flannel or cotton are the best materials and you should look out for bedding with your toddler’s favorite cartoon princesses on it.
4. Pick your accessories. Accessorize your little girl’s new bed with luxurious pink pillows and cushions and cloth princess doll toys.
Once your design is complete, you can show your little princess to her new paradise and watch her delight as she settles down for her first night’s sleep in her grown up princess bed.
